1 Peter 1:23
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Vibrant blue for sure. Still trying to get my head around the threaded needle. Get the analogy but not with the stump??
ReplyDeleteDebbie, that is a great question. I guess for me there is a-lot of symbolism in this drawing. The stump represents the old fleshly self, the needle for me is a reminder of the scripture that states that it is easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven (can't serve both God and money). The needle is threaded as a reminder of the fact that Jesus has already paid the price and thus threaded the way for me. The wispy image of new growth in the background is a representation of my identity in Christ. The fact that it is harder to make out is intentional as I still have a long way to go on my journey. As I am able to give more of myself to God that image will grow and the stump will fade out.
