Grace

Romans 6:1-14

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

Just a quick update on my separated shoulder. I have had a ton of prayer and it is working. It has been less than three weeks in what is supposed to be a 8 to 12 week recovery and I am able to draw again. The Doc gave me the green light to take the sling off and I am regaining strength and movement. I am feeling very blessed.

  1. Hey, I just wanted to say that you're stuff is really inspiring. I'm an artist myself and checking out all your stuff has totally got me excited and stirs me to do art more. What kind of medium do you use in your stuff? It kind of looks like charcoal or oil pastels but I'm not sure. I totally want to experiment with whatever you use cause I love the affect of it. You also have a really unique style, the Lord's using your stuff mightily to bring forth the kingdom. One of the coolest things about art is that it literally is making the invisible visible which is totally what the kingdom is all about =)

  2. I am glad that you are enjoying my work. It was actually really hard to post at first as it is very personal, but God is showing me that I need to get over my fear of man. This Blog has been part of that Journey. I use a-lot of different medium in my work including mechanical pencil (#9), water color pencils, acrylic paint, and really soft earth tone and black color pencils. Most of the drawings start out as pencil. The drawing of Jesus on the cross is just mechanical pencil. I tend to erase back into my drawings which gives it the charcoal appearance.
